Weisheit, Robert Carl “Bob” (aka “Fuzzy Bob”), 73, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on May 28, 2021 in Napa, CA. Bob was born in Huntington Park, CA on April 20, 1948 to Carl and Eileen Weisheit. He was the only boy in the family having an older sister and two girl cousins. Bob was a fourth generation Californian and attended St. Helen’s Catholic Elementary School in Huntington Park, South Gate High School, in South Gate. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.
He was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam era and served his country in Panama. Upon returning home from the Military, Bob moved to Sonoma where he worked briefly in the wine industry before settling in as a Bartender at the Town Square Bar for over 28 years. He enjoyed the many friends he made in retirement while residing at the Yountville Veteran’s Home.
Bob is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Jack Hilgendorf, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and many other friends too numerous to list.
Friends are invited to attend a “Sour Hour” in honor of Bob on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Town Square Bar, 482 First Street East, Sonoma, CA 95476. Sour Hour will be an informal potluck with an open mic. All are welcome. Please bring a story or memory of Bob. Private inurnment to take place at a later date off the Sonoma County coast.
