Robert A. Kooker
Bob passed away on May 18, 2020 at the Veterans Home, Yountville. He was 78. He had been a member of the Yountville Home since 2013. He was born on January 17, 1942 in Marquette, Michigan to Molly and Lawrence Kooker. He lived several places during childhood, graduating from high school and then on to college, receiving his BA in 1964.
After marriage and before the military, he got his medical degree in Psychiatry. He served in the US Air Force from 1981 to 1987. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He worked stateside in forensic. He saw no combat.
After the military, he and his family moved to Sacramento where he went into private practice. Bob was a people person and had a good
sense of humor. He was very centered on belonging support groups, which he attempted to start at the Yountville Veterans Home.
He is survived by his children: Michael, Jonathan and Elizabeth and grandchildren.
He will be buried at the Veterans Home Cemetery at Yountville.
