Juanita V. White, 86, died on November 3, 2021 in Napa, CA. Juanita moved to the Veterans Home, Yountville, in 2001, to join her husband, Jack White. She was born on July 7, 1935, in Hillsborough, Missouri to Thurman and Edith Benton. She grew up on a farm in Missouri. She later moved to Ferguson, MO in order to finish high school. The first in her family. Juanita was the next to youngest child of ten. Juanita moved to California in 1959. She and Jack married twice, the first time for about 24 years, and the second time was twenty years later. They met at “Bibb” where they watched TV (the only one in the area.) They enjoyed watching
boxing and wrestling.
She was employed by Bell Telephone before her husband was sent to Germany. Upon returning to Vacaville, she was employed at the Nut Tree. For the last 20 years of her career, she worked at a coffee shop in Mill Valley. Both Juanita and husband, Jack were active in their church for many years. While residing at the Veterans Home, Juanita was involved in Arts and Crafts and volunteer work. She enjoyed reading and been active with Eastern Star for many years.
Juanita and Jack had two sons. The oldest, Victor White, and the younger son, is Eugene, better known as “Gene.” The two boys gave Juanita seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Private inurnment at the Veterans Home Cemetery in Yountville. Services entrusted to CONNEELY FAMILY Cremation & Funeral Services.
