Harry E. Lockwood, a well-known Sonoma County real estate developer, passed away in Windsor on December 21, 2021 at the age of 94. The patriarch of a large family and friend to many, he was the last of his generation and will be remembered for his devotion to his wife, his humor, his strong work ethic, and dedication to his faith.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at eighteen and served in the Asiatic Pacific during World War II. He helped many families achieve the dream of home ownership and was sometimes referred to as the “Grandfather of real estate in Sonoma County.” He had served as president of the Sonoma County Board of Realtors and as Regional Vice President of the California Association of Realtors. He was a very active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and served on many committees for previous bishops, before illness prevented his involvement.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean and son Patrick. Survived by children Michael of Ione, Janis of Anderson, Laurie (Harold) of Tigard, Mary (Levi) of Fortuna, and Gini (Steven) of Windsor and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and cousins.
A funeral mass will be held on January 12, 2022 at 1:30 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 8400 Old Redwood Hwy, Windsor, CA, followed by internment with full military honors at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Shiloh Annex.
